Student perspective in internal quality assurance; within your institution

As a student, you play a vital role in safeguarding and improving the quality of education at your institution. This takes place at various times and in several ways:

Contributing to quality assurance policies and study programmes
Institutions must involve their students in the design and implementation of quality assurance policies and the process of developing programmes. Your experiences and ideas help shape the education provided by your institution and programme.

Student-centred learning
High-quality education revolves around the student. Programmes must actively involve their students in shaping their own learning process. This means, among other things, that programmes take into account the intended workload/time investment, as well as different backgrounds, study paces, and needs. This allows you to play an active role in your own learning journey.

Providing feedback and driving improvement
Through surveys, representation, and/or consultation meetings, you help collect and analyse information regarding all quality aspects of the education provided. The programme or institution discusses this feedback with students and, based on this, collaborates with them to create plans for improvement and follow-up.

Internal evaluation of programmes
Institutions must regularly evaluate and, where necessary, adjust their programmes internally, in collaboration with students. This ensures that the education remains current, relevant, and tailored to your needs.

In short: your voice matters—not just in the auditorium, but also behind the scenes.
