The quality assurance and accreditation systems of the Netherlands, Flanders and Luxembourg involve assessments on a peer review basis. To this end, the systems enlist the services of specific, independent experts.

ASSESSMENT PANELS IN THE NETHERLANDS

The Dutch higher education institutions are assessed by assessment panels. Panel members must be authoritative and perceived as such by the programmes.

In Flanders, all programmes and institutions are assessed on a peer review basis. NVAO appoints a panel of external, independent experts who enter into dialogue with the institution or programme to be assessed.

JOINING AN ASSESSMENT PANEL

Those who are interested in joining an assessment panel and contributing to the assurance of the quality of higher education programmes may submit their personal details to NVAO.
