Appeal procedures

Stakeholders have the opportunity to lodge a concern or an objection against a (draft) decision of the NVAO. Following this internal procedure, an external appeal may also be submitted.

Through these procedures, the NVAO ensures that decisions can be reviewed and, where appropriate, reconsidered, thereby safeguarding due process, transparency and legal certainty for all parties involved.

INTERNAL APPEAL
- THE NETHERLANDS

In the Netherlands, the board of an institution may lodge an appeal against a final NVAO decision within a period of six weeks.

Dispute resolution

In Luxembourg, stakeholders can lodge concerns that affect the independence, impartiality, proper conduct, or outcomes of the assessment procedure.
