At the annual Student SAMENarie, organised in cooperation with the Flemish Student Union (VVS), we explored the current Flemish quality assurance system and the role of student participation within it in greater depth. From NVAO’s perspective, we consistently emphasise the role of students in the institutional ownership that higher education institutions exercise over the quality assurance of their programmes. Student testimonies provided a compelling illustration of how this operates in practice.
