Find an assessed programme

About this database

This database offers you three possibilities to look up the details of an assessed programme:

• Find an institution (with assessed programmes)
• Find an assessed programme
• Find an assessed programme (advanced search)

This database does not comprise all higher education programmes in the Netherlands and Flanders that have been assessed on the basis of an application for accreditation or initial accreditation. In the transitional period most programmes offered at universities, universities of professional education (NL) and university colleges (FL) have been accredited by virtue of law. The validity of the accreditation depends on the point in time when the last accreditation procedure took place. For an overview of all higher education programmes, please consult the CROHO register for the Netherlands and the Higher Education Register in Flanders.

The withdrawn requests are not in de database of NVAO:
- in 2008: 35 (2 requests for accreditation, 31 requests for initial accreditation (including 4 temporarily withdrawn Flemish programmes) and 2 requests for extended programmes);
- in 2007: 27 (5 requests for accreditation, 22 requests for initial accreditation and researchmasters);
- in 2006: 48 (8 requests for accreditation, 31 requests for initial accreditation, 3 requests for researchmasters and 6 requests for extended masters). Three requests were not receptive;
- in 2005: 39 (14 requests for accreditation, 15 requests for initial accreditation and 10 requests for researchmasters);
- in 2004: 37 (2 requests for accreditation and 35 requests for initial accreditation);
- 2003: 2 (2 requests for initial accreditation).
